Let’s go back to the Snap. “I am Iron Man.” Skip ahead two seconds to the tears we remember as Tony was embraced by Pepper and sweet Peter Parker. We all thought Stark might have seen his daughter; Pepper even comforted him with the words, “We’re going to be okay.” But what if the reason for those tears is the man we see in front of us today?

That “one shot” Strange spoke of we have to ask, why Doom? And why now, so soon in the storyline? Marvel has a multitude of “villains” that could be used, but the answer, my folks, might be Tony Stark.

What if, when Stark made that Snap to remove Thanos, he saw himself? What if he saw himself destroying everything he knows as he watched Loki and the TVA destroy the Sacred Timeline, Thor steal the Seed of the Universe ( the child of eternity and Gorr the God Butcher) and the arrival of Franklin Richards and Galactus?

What if those tears were for the very fact that he didn’t have the strength left to scream, “RUN!”? Because, as it turns out, our one shot at survival spelled Doom.
“It’s always those who refused to accept” Thanos
