STUTTGART, Germany / MILAN, Italy – February 24, 2026 – Porsche today celebrates the pioneering spirit of the Registro Italiano E-motion, the world’s first Porsche Club exclusively dedicated to all-electric sports cars. This past September, the club embarked on its inaugural road trip, bringing together 131 participants and 73 electric Porsche vehicles for a journey to Hans-Peter Porsche’s Traumwerk museum near Salzburg, Austria. This event marks a significant milestone in fostering a community around electric mobility for Porsche enthusiasts.

The adventure began amidst the serene, mist-kissed hills of Italy’s Franciacorta wine region. Departing from the Franciacorta Porsche Experience Center – a location where the club’s founding charter was signed in May – the caravan, comprising 42 Taycan and 31 Macan models, set off. This diverse fleet included rear- and all-wheel-drive variants, S and Turbo S versions, and even two Taycan Turbo GT models with Weissach packages, some featuring bespoke Paint to Sample finishes like Fjord Green and Signal Yellow.
Andrea Siviero, spokesperson for the Registro Italiano E-motion Porsche Club, highlighted the special connection to the Franciacorta Experience Center: “This Experience Center is much like a home for our club. We signed the founding charter here in May.”

The club’s genesis traces back to 2021, when a small group of early Taycan owners formed a chat to discuss their vehicles and charging solutions during the pandemic. Led by President Massimo Piccinno, a Porsche veteran of over 30 years and an early adopter of electric vehicles, the group rapidly grew from a handful to 60 members, culminating in the official formation of the all-electric club, with full support from Porsche Italia.
A Journey of Passion and Power Across the Alps
The road trip saw the electric fleet journey approximately 250 kilometers through scenic landscapes, including the dramatic Dolomites, en route to Brixen in South Tyrol. A highlight of the journey was navigating winding Alpine roads towards the Brenner Pass and into Austria, where the vehicles’ acceleration, load changes, and high-precision braking showcased their dynamic capabilities.

Given the challenge of simultaneously charging 73 electric vehicles, Porsche deployed two mobile turbo charging units, typically reserved for European racecourses. Powered by 14-ton lithium batteries, each unit provided 2.1 MWh of energy, supplying 10 fast-charging stations with up to 280 kW of charging capacity. This innovative solution ensured seamless recharging, allowing participants to socialize and connect.
“We’re a bit more easygoing. As I always say, you’re not joining a club, but a family. Our members range in age from their late 20s to their mid-70s. The mindset is energy-charged and open to innovation and change,” stated President Massimo Piccinno. Andrea Gruppach, President of the Italian Porsche Club association, echoed this sentiment, noting the club’s vibrant mix of young members and families, and emphasizing a different, more relaxed pace of travel that embraces the charging breaks as part of the experience.
Inspiring Testimonials and a Grand Finale
The diversity of the club was evident in participants like Daniele Massaccesi, a renowned cameraman who has worked with directors such as Steven Spielberg and Ridley Scott. Massaccesi, an early electric adopter who transitioned from diesel to a Taycan and now drives a Macan, enthusiastically supports electric mobility. He shared an anecdote of Ridley Scott complimenting his Macan, illustrating the broader appeal of electric Porsche vehicles.

Also participating was Giulio Tedesco, a 28-year-old gamer and car content creator with 1.2 million YouTube followers. As one of the youngest founding members, Tedesco drove a Taycan Turbo GT with Weissach package provided by Porsche Italia for the trip, praising its astounding performance (0 to 100 km/h in 2.2 seconds with Launch Control, up to 760 kW / 1,034 PS overboost power). However, he emphasized the profound impact of meeting Hans-Peter Porsche, noting, “But there’s nothing like meeting someone from the Porsche family. It drives it home for me: I’ve now achieved something I had only ever dreamed of.”
The road trip culminated at Hans-Peter Porsche Traumwerk, an interactive museum featuring the private collection of the company founder’s grandson. Hans-Peter Porsche personally welcomed the club members, engaging with children and posing for selfies, solidifying the familial bond of the club.
The Registro Italiano E-motion’s first road trip underscores Porsche’s commitment to an electrified future and the passionate community that embraces it, proving that the thrill of driving, camaraderie, and innovation can thrive in the electric era.
