Formula 1 champion Max Verstappen is back at the iconic Nürburgring Nordschleife this weekend for the second round of the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS2). Moving away from his previous machinery, the Dutchman is set to make his debut in a Mercedes-AMG GT3, sporting the number 3.
Verstappen will be joined by seasoned GT specialists Dani Juncadella and Jules Gounon. The entry is a collaborative effort under the Verstappen Racing banner, supported by Winward Racing and Mercedes-AMG Motorsport.

The Road to the 24 Hours
This race serves as a vital stepping stone for Verstappen’s primary goal: the 24 Hours of Nürburgring in May. After a successful 2025 campaign—where he secured his Nordschleife racing permit and clinched a win in NLS9 alongside Chris Lulham—Max is focused on mastering the 24-kilometer “Green Hell.”
“The Nürburgring Nordschleife is a special place,” Verstappen noted. “The 24 Hours of Nürburgring has been on my bucket list for a long time. We’re racing here this weekend to prepare for that as well as possible.”
