The 75-Year Tribute: Porsche Unveils the 911 GT3 Earls Court 51 Edition

To commemorate 75 years of Porsche in the United Kingdom, Porsche Great Britain and Exclusive Manufaktur have pulled back the curtain on one of the most uniquely British machines they’ve ever produced: the 911 GT3 Earls Court 51 Edition.

Limited to just 51 units, this special edition is a love letter to the brand’s British debut at the 1951 Earls Court Motor Show, where the very first Porsche 356 Coupes touched down on UK soil.

A Design Rooted in 1951

While many commemorative models rely on loud decals and aggressive racing liveries, the Earls Court 51 Edition takes a remarkably sophisticated, understated approach. Based on the 911 GT3 with Touring Package, the car is finished in a bespoke, newly developed Earls Court Green metallic—a deep, rich shade inspired by the original 356s that appeared in London seven decades ago.

The exterior is defined by elegant “brightwork” that feels worlds away from the usual carbon-fiber-heavy aesthetic of a modern GT3. Key touches include:

  • Vintage Accents: Metallic silver bonnet stripes, door handles, and wing mirrors.
  • Bespoke Detailing: The inner barrels of the forged alloy wheels are finished in body-matching Earls Court Green, and the rear engine lid features a unique Reutter-inspired badge—a nod to the original coachbuilder of the 356.

The “Heritage” Interior

Step inside, and the cabin feels less like a track weapon and more like a high-horology piece of art. Porsche has leaned heavily into heritage materials, blending Night Green and Chalk Beige leather with classic corduroy seat inserts.

The use of warm Paldao wood across the dashboard, center console, and even the gear lever provides a contemporary, tactile contrast that bridges the gap between 1951 and 2026. Collectors will also find subtle “Easter eggs” throughout the cabin, including Union Jack motifs embossed into the sun visors and the 356 silhouette subtly integrated into the dashboard trim.

Performance Meets Collectability

Mechanically, the Earls Court 51 Edition remains a purist’s sanctuary. Under the decklid sits the standard, high-revving 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six producing 510 PS (503 hp). Buyers can choose between a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed PDK gearbox.

The nearly £94,000 premium over a standard GT3 Touring isn’t just for the paint—it’s for the ownership experience. Each of the 51 owners receives a comprehensive “collector’s set,” including:

  • A bespoke Porsche Design Chronograph 1 timepiece.
  • A matching Night Green leather Weekender bag.
  • A 1:18 scale model of the car and a commemorative hardback book documenting the 75-year journey.

For those wanting to see the car in the metal, it will make its public debut during the Icons of Porsche: Sunstede Silverstone Edition event on June 20–21, 2026. It is a rare, refined tribute to the moment a German sports car brand first captured the imagination of British drivers.
