Last year, I launched Miami Luxury Lifestyle. On paper, it was designed as an experimental marketing platform—a high-end vehicle to sell luxury yacht charters, showcase supercars, and curate elite experiences. But looking back, the algorithms and yacht bookings weren’t the only things taking unpredictable turns. The business was meant to move charters, but I ended up getting up to a whole lot more.

For starters, I finally built up the nerve to slide into my childhood crush’s DMs.
And boy, was that something.
To be completely fair, at the time, I didn’t know she was married. I didn’t even think she would look at the message, let alone read it. But she did. And when I say “crush,” I don’t mean a passing high school phase—I mean the undisputed love of my life. I’m not ashamed to admit I literally cried years ago when I first found out she had gotten with someone else. So when her name popped up in my notifications, the world stopped for a second.

Despite the fact that I was basically in a penniless state at the time—running on pure ambition, fumes, and the high-stakes hustle of building a brand—she actually showed up.
I half-joked to myself that she probably came all the way out just to shoot me for reaching out out of the blue. But hey, she showed up. We spent real, unfiltered time together on the island, suspended in a pocket of reality that felt entirely disconnected from the rest of the world. Sparks flew, feelings resurfaced, and for a fleeting moment, it felt like history was rewriting itself. Maybe she fell in love; maybe the emotional current was running both ways.
Now, the dust has settled. That surreal chapter is over, and we’ve both quietly returned to our separate lives. Looking back, I’m still sorting through the noise—maybe I was just caught up in the excitement, or maybe I was just being plain stupid. But one thing I know for sure is that I don’t regret it. The only thing I do regret is the reality of the situation: that she was married, and the timing was never truly ours.
Miami Luxury Lifestyle was supposed to be a case study in digital marketing and high-end charters. Instead, it became the backdrop for one of the most unpredictable, emotional, and unforgettable detours of my life.
