Oceanco DreAMBoat: A 111‑Metre Testament to Vision, Speed & Sustainability

A Monumental Alliance of Design and Engineering

In 2025, Oceanco celebrated one of its most ambitious projects yet: the launch and delivery of the 111‑metre superyacht, DreAMBoat (formerly Project Y726). Oceanco+2Super Yachts Channel+2

Commissioned in 2022 by a repeat client, the build process for Y726 was marked by an unusually swift timeline — from contract to delivery in just four years, which Oceanco describes as its shortest lead time for a yacht of this scale. Oceanco+2Super Yachts Channel+2

The yacht was conceived through deep collaboration: Espen Øino International crafted the sleek, elegant exterior, while Mark Berryman Design brought warmth and intimacy to the interior. Spaces That Feel Personal, Not Massive

Despite her 111 m length and 4,550 GT volume, DreAMBoat avoids the “floating palace” trap. Her layout favors family-focused living: she accommodates up to 28 guests and 34 crew. Oceanco+1

Key onboard amenities include:

  • A cinema lounge, spa and gym with sauna and steam room Boat International
  • A beach club whose bar opens directly to the swim platform Oceanco
  • A winter garden, covered cocktail terrace, outdoor cinema, and dual Jacuzzis Oceanco
  • A sundeck with a golf simulator, tailored to the owner’s personal lifestyle ambitions. Boat International

This balance of scale and cohesion is precisely what set the project apart — not simply building big, but building meaningful.

Sustainability at the Core

DreAMBoat is not just about volume; it’s a forward-looking vessel with strong environmental credentials. Oceanco partnered with Royal Haskoning to co-develop a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) tool — the first of its kind in the superyacht sector — measuring the yacht’s total carbon footprint across both construction and operation. Key sustainability features:

  • A battery pack for energy “peak-shaving,” reducing emissions during high demand. Oceanco
  • Interior finishes from Nature Squared, made using recycled materials like eggshells and coconut husks. Oceanco

These choices reflect a long-term mindset: not just luxury for today, but legacy for the future.

Record Speed — In More Ways Than One

One of the most remarkable aspects of DreAMBoat’s creation was how fast she went from concept to sea. The build took about 18 months less than what is typical for a fully custom yacht in this category. Boat International+1 This pace was driven by a highly engaged owner, efficient decision-making, and deeply aligned teams working in sync.

As Lee Archer, Programme Director at Lateral, put it:

“Through close collaboration with Oceanco and the project’s design partners … Y726 stands as a testament … to the power of collaboration as a catalyst for excellence.” SuperYachts

A Lifestyle, Not Just a Yacht

With her debut sea trials in the North Sea Boat International and final delivery in November 2025, DreAMBoat isn’t just a milestone for Oceanco — she’s a floating sanctuary, built for long-term enjoyment, refined living, and sustainable legacy.

In her wake, she redefines what a mega-yacht can be: not a showpiece, but a purposeful vessel where scale, luxury, and responsibility coexist.
